An all-encompassing throat singing masterclass with Radik Tyulyush, taking place in Mongolia and Tuva in August 2026.
This is an invitation to step out of daily life and into a living, breathing practice rooted in tradition, listening, and nature.

The program is open to all, regardless of age, background, or musical training.
It is designed for:

  • Nature lovers, adventurers, and self-explorers
  • Anyone curious about the voice as a gateway to inner freedom

No prior experience with throat singing is required — only openness, curiosity, and respect for the process.

The Practice

The Masterclass program is dedicated to teaching and musical practice. 
Each teaching day includes 

  • Daily vocal transmissions guided by Radik: Direct technique learning
  • The Architecture of Breath: A return to the essential foundations of resonance and physical grounding.
  • The Art of Khöömei: A progressive exploration of throat singing techniques and traditional styles (Kargyraa, Sygyt, etc.).
  • Musical Exchange: Collective learning through listening and shared vocal inquiry.
  • Evening Fireside: The warmth of group jam sessions by the fire.

There is also generous free time, which participants naturally use for:

  • Individual practice: Integrating the day’s lessons in the silence of nature.
  • Small group experimentation: Informal singing and vocal play with fellow participants.
  • Rest and integration: Space for the physical and emotional shifts that occur during the process.

The Master

Radik Tyulyush is more than an instructor; he is a master of the Tuvan tradition and a bridge between ancient heritage and the modern seeker. As a long-standing member of the world-renowned ensemble Huun-Huur-Tu, Radik has spent decades carrying the sounds of the steppe to the global stage.

He teaches in the traditional way—direct and without intermediaries. His approach is grounded, generous, and precise. Rather than focusing on mechanical imitation or vocal force, Radik emphasizes the “inner ear”—teaching you to listen, to embody the breath, and to allow sound to emerge naturally from a place of stillness. In his presence, the practice becomes a rare space of trust, allowing you to explore your voice far beyond the reaches of fear or self-judgment.

Life During the Masterclass

Participants stay in shared yurts (gers), living in a circle that mirrors the landscape itself. 

This is not a hotel stay; it is a return to a simpler, collective rhythm. With a limited number participants, the group becomes a small community—sharing meals, stories, voices, laughs and silence under the stars.

The Altai-Sayan region, spanning both Tuva and Mongolia, is the undisputed cradle of throat singing (Khöömei). Both lands share the nomadic spirit, the Buddhist-Shamanic soul, and the vast, echoing landscapes that birthed this vocal art.

The core teaching and practice with Radik Tyulyush are identical in both programs. The difference lies in the subtle “flavor” of the journey and overall program duration.
